Clark "Beaufort" Amp

The Beaufort is Michael Clark's take on the classic Fender model 5E3 "tweed" Deluxe. The most distinguishing feature of this amp is a voltage-corrected power transformer. Because of this transformer, the Beaufort operates internally at voltages that would have been typical when a 5E3 Deluxe was new in the mid to late 1950s. That means the Beaufort sounds close to what an original sounded like in its own era. The result is a Deluxe that is warmer than the typical 5E3 clone, and not as loud. Components and workmanship on the Beaufort are top quality throughout.
